Goodrep Support
Goodrep is a strength-training log for iPhone. Build workouts from a library of exercises, log your sets quickly during a session with break and exercise timers, look back at your history in a calendar, follow your progress in charts, and keep track of your body weight and measurements. Your data syncs between your devices through your own iCloud account. There is no account to create, no advertising and no tracking.

Sync and iCloud
How does sync work?
The app keeps its data in your private iCloud database. Every iPhone signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud turned on for Goodrep shows the same workouts, exercises, logs and measurements. Changes are sent shortly after you make them and arrive on your other devices while the app is open there. Settings › iCloud sync shows whether sync is working and when data was last sent and received.
My workouts do not appear on my other iPhone. What can I check?
- Both devices are signed in to the same Apple Account (iOS Settings › your name).
- iCloud is turned on for Goodrep on both devices (iOS Settings › your name › iCloud, in the list of apps using iCloud).
- Your iCloud storage is not full.
- Both devices are online. Open the app on each one and wait a minute; Settings › iCloud sync › Sync now sends your latest changes right away.
Can I use the app without iCloud?
Yes. If you are not signed in to iCloud, or you turn iCloud off for Goodrep, everything is stored on your iPhone only. Use the CSV export (below) to keep a copy of your logged sets.
Apple Health
How do I connect Apple Health?
In the app, open Settings › Health › Apple Health and tap Connect Apple Health, then choose which items to allow. The app reads only your body weight and body fat percentage. It saves the body weight and body fat you log, your strength workouts and, when Count calories is on, their estimated active energy (calories).
How do I change or remove the app's Health access?
Apple Health decides this, not the app: open iOS Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Goodrep and turn the items on or off. If you turned an item off by mistake, turn it on again there; the app cannot show the permission screen a second time.
Why are my Apple Health values missing on my other iPhone?
Values the app reads from Apple Health stay on the iPhone that read them and are not synced through iCloud. On another iPhone, connect Apple Health there too, and the app reads the values that Apple Health has on that device.
My weight from another app does not show up.
The app reads new body weight and body fat entries from Apple Health when it starts and when you return to it. Check that reading is allowed (see above). Settings › Health › Import all Health data again reads everything once more.
Are the calories exact?
No. Calories are an estimate the app calculates from how long you train and your body weight. They are not measured by a sensor.
Export, import and backup
How do I back up my logs?
Open Settings › Export / Import › Export logs as CSV and save the file wherever you like, for example in Files or iCloud Drive, or send it to yourself. The file lists every logged set with its date, workout, exercise, set number, weight, repetitions, time, distance and note, and opens in any spreadsheet app. It does not contain your workout plans, exercise photos or body measurements; with iCloud on, those are kept in your iCloud database.
How do I bring a CSV file back in?
Open Settings › Export / Import › Import logs from CSV and pick the file. The app adds only the sets that are not in your log yet, so importing the same file twice does not create duplicates.
How do I move to a new iPhone?
Sign in to the same Apple Account on the new iPhone, install the app and open it; your data arrives from iCloud. Without iCloud, export a CSV file on the old iPhone and import it on the new one.
Deleting your data
How do I delete a workout, an exercise, a set or a measurement?
Swipe left on it in its list and tap Delete: workouts in the Workouts tab, exercises you created in the exercise list, sets on the logging screen and measurements in the Body tab. Exercises that come with the app cannot be deleted. With iCloud on, a deletion also reaches your other devices.
How do I delete everything?
- Delete the app from your iPhone; this removes all data stored on the device.
- To remove the iCloud copy, open iOS Settings › your name › iCloud › Manage Account Storage (the names vary slightly between iOS versions), choose Goodrep and delete its data. Do this before reinstalling, or the data comes back from iCloud.
- Workouts and measurements the app saved to Apple Health stay there until you delete them in the Health app.
We do not hold a copy of your data, so we cannot restore anything you delete. Read the privacy policy for details.
