Goodrep Privacy Policy
Effective date: 29 October 2026
This policy explains what the Goodrep app for iPhone does with your information. Goodrep is made by Mukhammadjon Ibragimov ("we", "us"). If you have a question about it, write to support@goodrep.fitness.
In short
- You do not create an account, and you do not sign in to anything run by us.
- The app has no advertising, no analytics, no crash-reporting service and no tracking of any kind.
- Your workouts, logs and measurements stay on your iPhone and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud storage. We never receive them, and we cannot see them.
- We do not sell, rent or share your information with anyone.
Where your data is stored
On your iPhone. Everything you enter is saved in the app's database on your device: your workouts and their exercises, the exercises you create (including any photo you add to one), the sets you log with their weights, repetitions, times, distances and notes, timer sessions and estimated calories, and the body measurements you type in. Your preferences (units, appearance, timer choices and similar settings), the name you enter in your profile and your recently used notes are kept in the app's settings on the device.
In your private iCloud database. When you are signed in to iCloud on your iPhone and iCloud is turned on for Goodrep, the app keeps a copy of its database in your private iCloud database (Apple CloudKit), so the same data appears on your other devices signed in to the same Apple Account. Only your Apple Account can read this database; we as the developer have no access to it. Apple stores it under the iCloud terms and the Apple Privacy Policy. Values imported from Apple Health are not included (see below), and neither are your app settings. To keep your data on this iPhone only, turn off iCloud for Goodrep in the iOS Settings app.
To deliver changes from your other devices, iCloud sends the app silent background notifications. They carry no message for you and nothing about you reaches us.
Apple Health
Using Apple Health is optional. The app connects to it only if you choose to and only with the permissions you grant on the Apple Health permission screen. You can change these permissions at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Health › Goodrep.
With your permission the app:
- reads your body weight and body fat percentage, so that measurements you record elsewhere show up in the app's Body tab;
- writes the body weight and body fat entries you log in the app, and your strength-training workouts with their start and end time and, if you have turned on calorie counting, their estimated active energy (calculated by the app from the length of the workout and your body weight; it is an estimate, not a measurement).
Values the app reads from Apple Health are kept on your iPhone only and are never stored in iCloud by the app. Health data is never used for advertising, marketing or data mining, never used to profile you, never sold and never shared with anyone, including us.
Camera and photos
The app uses the camera only when you choose to take a photo for one of your own exercises, and you can instead pick one photo from your library through the system picker; the app sees only the photo you pick. That photo is stored with the exercise as described above.
When you share a workout summary as an image and choose Save Image, the app adds that image to your photo library. It asks for permission to add photos only, and it never reads your photo library.
Notifications
The app can show local notifications when a break or exercise timer ends while the app is in the background. They are created on your iPhone; no notification content is sent to us or anyone else. The app does not send marketing or promotional notifications. You can turn notifications off in the iOS Settings app.
Exporting and sharing
Your data leaves the app only when you decide so. You can export your logged sets as a CSV file, share a workout as text or share a workout summary as an image; each of these goes through the iOS share sheet to the destination you choose, such as Files, Mail or Messages. When you import a CSV file, the app reads only the file you pick.
Third parties
The app contains no third-party code that collects data: no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting software. The only outside services involved are Apple's: iCloud, Apple Health and the App Store, which Apple provides under its own terms and the Apple Privacy Policy. The App Store handles downloads and any payment; we receive no payment details.
If you have chosen in the iOS Settings app to share analytics with app developers, Apple may give us anonymous crash reports and usage statistics about the app. These do not identify you and do not contain your workouts, logs or measurements. You can change this choice in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
How long data is kept and how to delete it
Your data stays until you delete it. You are in control of all of it:
- In the app: delete a workout, an exercise you created, a logged set or a measurement, and it is removed from your iPhone and, with iCloud on, from your iCloud database and your other devices.
- Delete the app: removing Goodrep from your iPhone deletes all data stored on the device, including the app's settings.
- Delete the iCloud copy: open the iOS Settings app, tap your name, then iCloud › Manage Account Storage (the exact names vary slightly between iOS versions), choose Goodrep and delete its data.
- Apple Health: when you delete a body weight or body fat entry in the app, the app also removes the copy it wrote to Apple Health (while it still has write access). Workouts the app wrote, and anything that came from other apps, stay in Apple Health until you delete them in the Health app. Revoking the app's access stops further reading and writing.
Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to delete on request, and we cannot recover data you have deleted. Exporting your logged sets as a CSV file now and then gives you a backup you keep yourself.
Children
Goodrep is not directed at children under 13. The app does not collect personal information from anyone, children included.
Changes to this policy
If the app starts handling your information differently, we will update this policy before the change takes effect and change the effective date at the top. The link in the app (Settings › About › Privacy Policy) always opens the current version.
